Detained fellow countryman is suspected of killing Dagestani woman in Moscow

As reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), in Moscow, law enforcers have detained a suspect of killing the woman, whose body with amputated arms and legs was found on November 23. According to investigators, the detainee – a young man, a native of Dagestan, – has confessed that he had killed, in the course of a conflict, the woman, who had also come from Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 23 the woman's body was found in the south- west of Moscow. According to a source from law enforcement bodies, the victim was a resident of Dagestan; her extremities were cut off. Internet users then spoke about a possible nationalistic motive of the murder.

The source said that the detainee worked as a butcher in the "Okay" supermarket. He had long been courting the murdered 27-year-old Gulnara Rabadanova; however, she rejected him. After breaking up with her on November 22 because of the excessive volume of a TV-set, the man first killed the girl, and then pulled her into the stairwell and made amputations.

"He lived, along with the girl and three more persons, in the same apartment. Shamil and Gulnara had constant quarrels. One such banal hassle caused a violent crime," said the source, noting that the alleged killer and the casualty were fellow villagers.
