Two local women disappear in Grozny

In Chechnya, the police are conducting search for two female residents of Grozny, who disappeared on November 18 and 20. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies of the republic.

According to the source, on November 18, 15-year-old Madina Khaidarova disappeared in Grozny. The schoolgirl, who lived in the Lenin District of Grozny, left home and never returned.

The whereabouts of Zarina Daurbekova, a resident of Grozny, who disappeared in the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny, is also unknown.

"There are reasons to believe that the young woman was kidnapped, since people heard the cries for help," said the source from the Chechen law enforcement bodies.

In the current year, these are not the first cases of disappearance of girls and young women in the Chechen capital.

"People are seriously concerned that at our place, teenage girls and young women again began to disappear. And, meanwhile, people suspect that power agents are involved in the disappearances. It is very difficult to confirm or to refute that; however, it is clear that our law enforcement bodies can do nothing in this situation," the "Caucasian Knot" was told by a staff member of a Chechen NGO, who preferred to remain anonymous.
