In Tuapse, UFSIN strives for real sentence to ecologist Vitishko

The Tuapse branch of the criminal-executive inspection of the UFSIN (Department of the Russian Federal Penal Service) of the Krasnodar Territory has filed a petition to the court asking to change the conditional imprisonment appointed to Evgeny Vitishko, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", into a real jail.

Let us remind you that in summer 2012 Evgeny Vitishko was sentenced, along with another ecologist Suren Gazaryan, to three years of imprisonment for damaging the fence around the so-called "summer cottage of the Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachov".

On November 21, it became known that the Tuapse District Court would consider on November 26 the petition lodged by the above inspection of the UFSIN on changing the term appointed to Vitishko.

According to Vitishko, on November 21, he received a subpoena; so far, the reasons of the above inspection are not known.

The website of the "Ecological Watch" has reported that Evgeny Vitishko is going to apply for a transfer of the court session, in order to have time to get acquainted with the claims of the criminal-executive inspection.
