Native of Dagestan arrested near Moscow for driving without license and suspicion of using violence to policeman
A native of the city of Derbent, Republic of Dagestan, became a figurant in the case of the use of violence to a policeman near Moscow, after he dragged a road inspector, who demanded his driver's license, by his car along the road, said the ICRF. He is currently under administrative arrest, said the GIBDD (road police) of the Moscow Region.
The incident occurred on November 20 in the afternoon on the 17th km of the highway Moscow-Scholkovo. A GIBDD inspector for the Moscow Region approached a Toyota Camry car, which was stopped by the driver at the crossroads of the regulated red light with getting beyond the stop line. The policeman stretched his hand across the car window for documents; and at this point the driver abruptly started moving and dragged the inspector for about 300 meters. As a result, the police captain got a double arm fracture.
Several hours later, policemen found the car and detained the driver. A 33-year-old native of Dagestan, as it turned out, was driving the car without a license, which was taken away from him till 2015 for driving in intoxication.
On November 21, the court sentenced him to administrative arrest for ten days for driving a car without a license.
