Two suspected militants detained in Dagestan

As reported by a source from law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, two suspected militants were detained in a special operation held in the Shamil District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on November 21 in the village of Teletl, Shamil District, a clash burst out, during which the head of the local ROVD (District Interior Division) was slightly wounded. The district was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime.

"Two suspected militants were detained; they are nephews of Magomed Kebekov, the so-called 'Qadi of Imarat Kavkaz'," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the spokesman of the republic's law enforcement bodies.

In his turn, a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan asserts that at night two militants managed to escape from the two houses, where they had been initially blocked. A pursuit of them was organized, which resulted in an armed clash, the "Interfax" reports.

"A policeman was wounded in the clash. One of the suspects is trying to escape the chase; the second one is also searched. Additional policemen from neighbouring districts have been deployed in the place," said the spokesman of the press service of the MIA of Dagestan.
