In Volgograd, six parents of many children continue hunger strike

In Volgograd, four parents of many children and two pensioners who joined in the protest action are on the tenth day of the hunger strike. The Governor of the Volgograd Region has promised that he personally or his deputies will meet each hunger-striker. This was reported by the Public Chamber.

Let us remind you that on September 23, in Volgograd, 12 parents of many children started a hunger strike. They demand to solve their social problems.

On October 1, Elena Topoleva, a member of the Russian Public Chamber, together with experts met the hunger-strikers at the Public Chamber of the Volgograd Region. This was reported by the website of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

"Elena Topoleva went to meet large families directly at the place of the hunger strike. People have complained that the local authorities fail to pay any attention to their housing problems. And, according to the protesters' story, they cannot meet the City Mayor or the Governor," the website reports.

After that, Elena Topoleva met Sergey Bozhenov, Governor of the Volgograd Region. He has stated that during the week, he personally or his deputies will meet all the hunger-strikers, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation reports.
