At trial on Rasul Mirzaev's case prosecutor asks to mitigate charge against defendant

Today, the Zamoskvorechye District Court of Moscow started pleadings in the case against athlete Rasul Mirzaev, after whose punch Ivan Agafonov, a Moscow student, died. Prosecutor asks the Court to reclassify the offence of the defendant for Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "causing death by negligence".

The prosecutor asks to sentence Rasul Mirzaev to 2 years of restricted freedom, counting one day in custody for two days of restricted freedom, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from the courtroom.
