Moscow hosts charity rally-concert "Hot July. Krymsk, We Are with You!"
Today, a charity rally-concert under the motto "Hot July. Krymsk, We Are with You!" in support of the residents affected by the flood in the city of Krymsk, Krasnodar Territory, took place in Moscow.
Before the rally, its participants marched from the monument to Peter the Great in the Crimea Embankment to the Central House of Artists (CHA). According to the police, there were no more than 50 participants.
During the rally, calls were announced to go to Krymsk as volunteers to help the flood victims, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The organizers' political demands included resignation of the incumbent Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachov.
Earlier, the organizers had claimed that "the rally will be attended and addressed by new figures of the Russian opposition." It was also reported that fundraising would be organized to help the victims, the "BBCRussian.com" reports.
