In Yerevan, defendant in case on exploded balloons put under recognizance not to leave

In Armenia, investigators filed charges in the case on balloons, exploded on May 4 at Republic Square in Yerevan, against Serob Bozoyan, a citizen of the country. The entrepreneur is accused of filling the balloons with explosive gas methane, and he is under recognizance not to leave. This was reported by the Police of Armenia.

"At present, we do not disclose the details in the interests of the investigation," a representative of the Police of Armenia has added.

Serob Bozoyan faces charges of manufacturing or selling the goods, which did not meet safety requirements. The article stipulates a fine of 300-500 minimum wage, or correctional labour for a period of up to 2 years, or imprisonment of up to 5 years.
