Relatives of the persons convicted for blasting "Nevsky express" deferred their action till meeting with Evkurov
During a meeting with relatives of defendants on the criminal case of blasting "Nevsky express" sentenced to long terms of custody Yunus-bek Evkurov promised his assistance in release of those whose guilt was unproven. For this reason the convicts' relatives put off the meeting of protest they were planning for a while.
On July, 9, during a meeting with Yunus-bek Evkurov in the Administration of Ingushetia four relatives of the convicts expressed their opinion of injustice of the verdict and appealed to the authorities of the republic asking to state their position on this issue and as far as their official position allowed help unbiased investigation of the case.
Evkurov expressed his opinion that people having nothing to do with the crime might have possibly been in the dock. "The authorities of the republic will do their best to help release those whose guilt is unproven", Evkurov said.
He also declared that in the nearest future he was going to appeal to Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Viacheslav Lebedev and Prosecutor General Yury Chaika about unlawful institution of criminal proceedings against the Kartoevs and Aushev.
During the meeting Mukhajir Kartoev, father of two convicts on the case of blasting "Nevsky express", said that the meeting of protest against the verdict to his sons and other persons involved in the case they were planning was put off for a while. He explained that the authorities of the republic promised to help unbiased investigation of the case.
