Dagestani Supreme Court sentences Karachay-Cherkessian resident Alisher Bairamukov
Today, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan sentenced Alisher Bairamukov, a 38-year-old resident of Karachay-Cherkessia, accused of attempting to overthrow the constitutional system of the Russian Federation, to 7 years of imprisonment to be served in a high security colony.
Let us remind you that, according to the case materials, in late July 1999, Alisher Bairamukov together with his younger brother took an active part in armed rebellion in the territory of the Tsumadin District of the Republic of Dagestan to overthrow the constitutional system and break the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.
Due to the totality of the examined evidence, the court had no doubts of the guilt of Alisher Bairamukov. This was stated by Anna Lyzina, Press Secretary of the FSB Department in the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic.
"Taking into account all the circumstances of the criminal case, sincere repentance of Alisher Bairamukov, the court found him guilty of the alleged crime and sentenced him to 7 years of imprisonment to be served in a high security colony," Anna Lyzina stated.
