In Kabardino-Balkaria, six persons killed in special operation in Mir village

During the special operation in the village of Mir of the Chegem District of Kabardino-Balkaria, power agents killed six militants, who rendered armed resistance. This was informed by a source at the law enforcement bodies of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).

"According to unspecified information, six militants were killed in the armed clash, and at present we try to identify them," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the source at the law enforcement bodies as saying.

The National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) of the Russian Federation confirmed the information about the death of six persons at a locked house. The NAC has emphasized that "five militants and their woman-accomplice were neutralized, and one woman-accomplice was detained," the "Interfax" reports.

Residents of nearby houses were evacuated, and the area was cordoned off. The counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced there.
