Medrese teacher and his students kidnapped in Chechnya released

On August 29, Roman Magomadov, a medrese teacher, and his students Rustam Seliev, Viskhan Geliskhanov and Ruslan Sakkazov, who had been kidnapped in Chechnya, were released.

Let us remind you that in mid-August the human rights activists reported kidnapping of Gudermes male medrese teacher and three of his students on August 11. According to their relatives' story, the kidnapping was carried out by armed men in masks and camouflage uniform.

On August 29, the kidnapped were released. Besides, another resident of Gudermes, whose identity had not been determined yet, had been released. This was reported by the statement of the Human Rights Centre "Memorial" received by the editorial office of the "Caucasian Knot".

The HRC "Memorial" notes that the details of the release are unavailable, since the men themselves and their relatives do not want to publicize the details of the incident.
