Soldier commits suicide in Nagorno-Karabakh

On February 2, in one of the military units of Stepanakert, as a result of use of firearms, Torgom Sarukhanyan, a 21-year-old soldier of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh died. Inspectors are suspecting a suicide.

In the context of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under the article of "suicide or attempted suicide by means of threats, ill-treatment or systematic humiliation of one's dignity, committed with indirect intent or through negligence."

Torgom Sarukhanyan was recruited by the Gyumri military commissariat and had 1.5 years of service behind.
