Georgia and Iran sign visa-free agreement
Today, foreign ministers of Georgia and Iran - Grigol Vashadze and Manouchekhr Mottaki - signed a document on introduction of visa-free regime for citizens of both countries.
The agreement will enter into force after ratification - presumably in 2011. It provides for visa-free regime for citizens of both countries for travel of up to 45 days, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
"The introduction of visa-free regime will allow citizens to move freely between the two countries. In the future it will boost tourism and deepen economic ties between the two countries," Mr Mottaki said at a press conference after signing the agreement.
