Russia sanctions several Georgian Airways' charter flights to Moscow

The Russian authorities gave a permit to the Georgian Airline "Airzena-Georgian Airways" to make in early April a series of Tbilisi-Moscow charter flights dated to the approaching Easter.

Let us note here that earlier this Airline already received a similar permit to make "Christmas flights".

As reported by the Russian MFA, now the permit was granted "in view of the obvious humanitarian value of such flights," the ITAR-TASS reports.

As reported by Tamaz Gaiashvili, the Airline's spokesman, direct flights Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi will be performed on April, 1, 2 and 3 and on April 10, 12 and 14." According to his story, any restart of regular flights is out of question yet.
