Today, at the expanded session of the Presidium of the General Prosecutor's Office, Mr Bastrykin suggested to "re-register all the vehicles in the region with introduction of new license number plates" with the aim to make the war on criminality in Northern Caucasus more efficient."
The "Interfax" reports that among the measures offered by the ICPO is to provide the employees of the Prosecutor's Office with firearms, special defence means and armoured vehicles.
Mr Bastrykin also offered to set up in the NCFD, by means of the MIA's internal troops, an efficiently operating commandant's office with round-the-clock patrolling and video surveillance, and to modernize the network of expert establishments in the region, the "YUGA.ru" reports.
