"Roszdravnadzor": Astrakhan drugstores shipped drugs with expired dates to South Ossetia
As reported by the Federal Public Health Supervisory Agency ("Roszdravnadzor"), Astrakhan drugstores in 2008-2009 delivered, through the Red Cross, drugs with expired shelf life intended for victims in Tskhinvali. In total, within this humanitarian action, medical products worth 23,400 roubles were shipped to South Ossetia.
Khsar Zasev, deputy minister of public health of the republic, said that poor-quality preparations, probably, really arrived, but he has "no direct proofs, as the preparations first arrived to North Ossetia and were filtered there."
However, anonymous sources in North Ossetia have confirmed that in spring and summer of 2009 this humanitarian help was carried out to dumps by "KamAZ" trucks.
It is known that by the order of the Ministry of Public Health of the Astrakhan Region the director of the State Enterprise "Astrakhan Drugstores" was sacked. But the "Roszdravnadzor" does not know, whether a criminal case was opened on this fact. The Ministry has explained that in such cases there is no "feedback", as the "GZT.ru" writes.
