Militiamen of Kabardino-Balkaria go to court for overtime bonuses
Servicemen of the patrol-sentry regiment of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Kabardino-Balkaria, who have addressed judicial bodies because of non-payment of their due bonuses for overtime work, work on weekends and holidays, are subjected to prosecution by their bosses. They told about it to journalists.
"We're blackmailed and intimidated, we were deprived of quarterly surpluses and bonuses; we get the minimal salary, some of us were just sacked," militiamen say. According to their story, the whole regiment is in fever; as a matter of fact it is under threat of disbandment. Court marshals are unable to collect money from the MIA in their favour under the issued court orders.
The servicemen said that over 200 of them went to court, which passed positive rulings for 130 of them; however, none has received the prescribed money.
"They tell us that they can pay only for 120 hours of overtime work. But this amount gets accumulated within a month, while we had worked overtime for years," the militiamen explain and note that the non-payments for the overtime work fall on the period when Shogenov, Kh. A., was the Minister of Internal Affairs.
